This roof rack is a replica of the 1997 Mongolia Camel Trophy Expedition with the Land Rover Discoveries. It was unique for having an obscure roof rack which could carry a canoe and a pair of bicycles amongst other equipment.
The model consists of multiple parts which are to be connected with super glue and 1.5mm wire for a strong bond. Insert the wire of appropriate length into the holes of adjacent parts. It would help to widen the holes with a 1.5mm bit prior to assembly. The roof rack mounts to the body using the existing holes on the roof and additional 2mm holes need to be drilled for the rear tabs.
I used some wire mesh to recreate the mesh on the full scale rack.
Enjoy the process and do comment if you have any issues. I would gladly help :)
